  About CMAD

What is CMAD?

CMAD, or Combined Martial Arts Display, is a major annual stage production by the various martial arts groups of NUS. It aims to promote a greater awareness and appreciation of the various martial arts to the NUS community and public.

With a colourful history of over 10 years, every CMAD production has consistently wowed its audiences with its refreshing plot and exciting choreography, which cleverly integrates and showcases the unique abilities of the 10 participating martial arts groups.

From the early days in the humble halls of Kent Ridge, to its present location in the University Cultural Centre (UCC) Theatre, CMAD has come a long way. With greater access to funding and sponsorships, CMAD has been able to increase its quality and scale of production over the years. The present location at UCC boasts a modern and comfortable environment with world-class facilities, allowing the audience to enjoy and fully immerse themselves in the performance.

With exciting individual and combined performances from 10 martial arts groups, no two productions are ever alike. This year’s production – Double Edge – promises a well-integrated and captivating storyline, with various choreographed fight scenes between martial artists of different backgrounds, and will certainly be a spectacular performance worth remembering.
